GENERAL FUNCTION

The Finance Sr. Manager supports the Logistics operations division within EssilorLuxottica in North America and the Finance organization and Logistics Operations leadership. Key activities include consolidating and explaining the Logistics Profit & Loss, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis and modeling in support of business development activities, including new business model evaluation and strategic growth initiatives, analysis of potential business agreement economics, operating expense management/reporting.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monthly Closing and Reporting / Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the consolidation of the North America Logistics Economics (>500mln$), ensuring the adoption of standardized reporting and the reconciliation between managerial reporting and statutory accounting.
  • Explain the operating variances, supporting the Business Leaders in the understanding of economic performance of the network.
  • Meet the monthly closing and reporting deadlines timely and accurately.
  • Manage accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting functions and processes.
  • Apply lean reporting concepts by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements, and sharing of best practices.
  • Support annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting process with input from Finance, Distribution Centers, Executive Management and Operations.
  • Work towards the simplification and automation of finance operations.
  • Partner to design and develop standard reporting to enable the assessment of overall financial performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement dynamic. 

 

Business Strategy & Modeling

  • Perform financial analysis to determine present and future financial performance for new operation models
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives and evaluate returns of automation projects
  • Develop successful business partnership with Operations Leadership and key partners by setting short and long term financial and operating targets.
  • Drive execution of business strategies

 

Business Analysis & Special Projects

  • Determine financial position by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts with actual results.
  • Provide information to Finance and Operation organization by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Participate in systems development and enhancements project for both Finance and the Operation. 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Business Management preferred).
  • 5-7 years’ experience in operations controlling, business case development, financial analysis.
  • A team player, must be able to coordinate and lead people within, and outside of the Finance department
  • Extremely strong analytic, problem solving and modeling skills required.
  • Understanding of orientations and business priorities as well as driving the business.
  • Proven working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in MS Excel/PowerPoint and data analysis tools such as SAP, Essbase, SQL, MSAccess, PowerBI
  • Proven management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills required.
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • MBA preferred
