GENERAL FUNCTION

The New Products Data Planning Manager is responsible to manage weekly NPI team capacity schedule to support engineering qualification process and brand launch to market strategies in manufacturing.

This role will align with the sourcing team to define the material and technical data attributes and responsible for the lens manufacturing and ERP system data accuracy and integrity within the labs network.  Their responsibility would include thoroughly reviewing the details and providing feedback to sourcing, engineering and planning.

This role will partner with the planning team and manage the inventory selection priority in the network as the business needs evolve. The data manager will also be responsible for NPI master data training and support of our global production partnerships in Italy, Brazil and China as needed.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support master data set up annually 2,500+ new products introductions (NPI) ensuring to meet KPI requirements
  • Manage weekly NPI team capacity schedule to support Engineering qualification process and brand launch to market strategies
  • NPI master data training and support of our global production partnerships
  • Partner with key teams to implement new business tools and processes focused on process improvements
  • Partner with the inventory planning team to align on inventory setup and priority
  • Align cross functional team about new products (stage and gate process) for LMS data setup
  • Create PL/SQL to analyze data, modify data, and import / export information
  • Coordinate between the brands, multiple labs and facilities
  • Build workflows, processes, and instructions
  • Troubleshoot LMS data / technical issues and make/suggest necessary changes in make and route and POS systems
  • Establish priorities on the LMS setup for NPI through constant feedback from brands and manufacturing facilities working closely with NPI/Engineering and labs
  • Manage reporting and planning for manufacturing labs, external vendors

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain master data management
  • Experience working with New Product capacity planning
  • Proven collaboration skills, managed key internal and external relationships
  • Strong communication & presentation skills, at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills; can effectively use qualitative and quantitative data to make recommendations & decisions
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years in Prescription Optical environment
  • Experience in Tableau and SQL type database queries to run the business
