The Environmental Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing and improving envrionmental compliance and Sustainability policies and procedures across the Foothill Ranch (FHR) campus to ensure compliance to all applicable local, state and Federal regulatory requirements.



  • Manages development and implementation of environmental systems and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal Environmental regulations
  • Responsible for regulatory reports for EPA, State and local regulatory agencies (eg. HMBP, AER, TRI, DTSC, CUPA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of permitting and function of pollution control devices such as RTO
  • Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 or other environmental management systems / continuous improvement processes at a manufacturing site.
  • Analyze environmental metrics provide leadership with accurate reporting and metrics to support business environmental initiatives and justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the environmental risk is highest.
  • Develop and implement site and department environmental goals and strategies aligned with broader organization goals.
  • Provides technical expertise and support to leaders and employees
  • Tracks envrionmental inspections, audit findings and corrective actions
  • Drives root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Facilitates environmental related training
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with local, state and federal agencies and represents the Company in resolving issues and limiting exposure
  • Interfaces with internal business partners throughout FHR regarding new product, equipment and process introductions, various Environmental initiatives
  • Partner with corporate and other Luxottica Manufacturing Environmental personnel in the U.S. and globally to leverage global environmental best practices into the FHR campus.
  • Develop and execute the site’s sustainability strategy and adapt it as necessary to meet the changing needs of the business. Work with key internal stakeholders to quantify the environmental footprint of the business and identify improvement opportunities that support the business goals
  • Support Safety function as needed to ensure consistency in support to business (incident reporting, risk assessments, etc.)



  • Bachelor's in chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing organization
  • Experience with environmental regulatory agencies & understanding of local, state and Federal environmental regulatory requirements in California.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
  • Handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent organization, communication (oral & written), and interpersonal skills



  • Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish a plus but not required.
  • Environmental or Sustainability certifications a plus but not required.
