The Global Product Strategy Director is responsible for developing category roadmaps and defining long-term product strategies that drive innovation, brand, and growth. This includes creating line plans that set the direction for new products and manage product lifecycles to ensure cohesive storytelling. Drive alignment of strategies with global cross function partners to ensure success of the category. 



  • Manage a team of strategic line planners, product manager and associate product mangers to maximize the category
    • Define annual Style & SKU budgets and assess sku productivity
    • Develop comprehensive product briefs including product need, target consumer, volume expectations, price, and margin requirements
    • Responsible for category life cycle management
  • Develop the product strategic direction, roadmap, and key product stories
    • Consolidate business, brand, and market needs to define the product roadmap including technology, key stories, style attributes, segmentation, and market opportunity
    • Build consensus with key stakeholders across both organizations on initiatives, strategies, and tactics
    • Develop product competitive analyses via field visits, journals, market feedback and sales data
    • Understand product trends within each market and help align local design and product needs with corporate goals and global needs
    • Drive product innovation and technology roadmap with R&D teams
  • Drive business profitability through an understanding of the key product levers
    • Set product growth, ASP, and margin objectives for the category by brand and channel
    • Determine product pricing based on strategic direction, competitive positioning, and target margins
    • Develop meaningful product forecasts, manage global inventory levels, and reconcile forecasts to overall budget
    • Works with business analytics to create financial models to model growth and growth projections
  • Communicate product stories to cross functional and regional teams
    • Collaborate with marketing team given product input to the marketing assets: athletes, brand story, and technology highlights
    • Present product stories, samples, sales tools and training to key sales teams and accounts
    • Attend sales meetings and trade shows to communicate product stories and consolidate feedback
    • Identify sales tools and training required to communicate and differentiate product stories



  • BA/BS in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, or Product Development
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and a proven ability to drive a product line through a strong growth stage
  • Ability to develop an effective team of product managers
  • Strong leadership skills to be able to create cross-functional partnerships
  • Intimate understanding of the Brand and our core consumer
  • Thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and the key industry dynamics
  • Effective communicator and presenter with strong leadership skills and experience communicating complex information to multiple individuals/audiences



  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial perspective on business
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and a passion for data-driven decisions
