This position is responsible for leading the performance of one or more business unit within the manufacturing organization.  Develops the strategic and tactical objectives and drives the overall department activities by leading Production Supervisors to achieve production goals.



  • Manage and evaluate both direct and indirect resources to ensure high productivity levels
  • Oversee a workforce of hourly and salaried employees, in multiple manufacturing departments, and shifts
  • Drive change by leading Continuous Improvement projects and driving a LEAN manufacturing culture
  • Plans production operations, schedules and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Coach, mentor and provide motivation to the team to promote good communication, objective thinking and teamwork within department
  • Provide leadership and training/mentorship to ensure staff competency in activities and tasks with contributing responsibilities for product quality
  • Drive team towards achieving daily/weekly/monthly goals
  • Analyze daily/weekly/monthly KPI: Safety, Quality/Scrap, NPI, Service, Efficiency, Volume/Productivity
  • Track equipment availability and work with support groups to achieving uptime goals
  • Review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Provide guidance for the development of manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs
  • Develop, recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
  • Identify roadblocks impacting department and address with a clear action plan
  • Plan and administer budgets - Make budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
  • Provide a clear action plan for the team to work through roadblocks that can negatively impact the department’s goals



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of management/leadership experience
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems. (SAP strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop 3+ year plans
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience leading teams in a high volume, fast-paced and multiple shift environment



  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification, highly desired – this is our language
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish
  • Project Management
