GENERAL FUNCTION

Develop, manage and execute external and internal-facing eye care professional events, engagement programs and initiatives for Luxottica Eye Care among Optometry Industry and Schools of Optometry, Licensed Optician Industry and Schools, and Retail Optical North America affiliated Optometrists. Coordinate, plan, and host events, sponsorships and initiatives in an effort to build strong external industry relations, position Luxottica as the premiere affiliation of choice for optometrists and opticians, and drive value and development opportunities for affiliated Optometrists.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, develop and coordinate the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high quality work on time
  • Develop and maintain the Master Calendar of Events and communicate plans with Eye Care recruiting team, brand and field leaders and support network
  • Schedule, plan and attend events as determined by department leader to ensure plans are executed with excellence. Travel required.
  • Conduct post-event analysis and present to team leadership and key stakeholders
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance current and future initiatives
  • Manage all internal and external event budgets, strategic planning for expense, quarterly forecast, tracking to assure events and projects stay on budget
  • Proactively build business partnerships across the Eye Care team and among key brand partners
  • Manage and execute Optometry and Optician Industry and School Initiatives
  • Support the strategy development and planning for industry and school relations in partnership with team leadership and key stakeholders based on in-depth understanding of the student and industry audiences. Lead the tactical development and execution of the plan.
  • Support and participate in meetings with school and industry leaders to determine best branding, networking and recruiting opportunities and positioning for Luxottica Eye Care to build our Doctor employer brand and maximize return on investment
  • Negotiate sponsorships, event opportunities and strategic initiatives against Eye Care key objectives.
  • Manage all event programming, delivery and logistics.
  • Develop plan for regional advocates/influencers and coordinate support personnel with Brand leaders and partners
  • Manage and execute Affiliated Optometrist Engagement Initiatives
  • Support and participate in meetings with Eye Care team to develop strategy for meaningful engagement programs and events
  • Lead the development, execution and manage logistics of new and existing internal facing programs

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of related work experience managing events in a retail environment or similar capacity
  • Demonstrated track record managing project budgets
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines; strong time management and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, listening and presentation
  • Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience
  • Ability to work independently and partner within a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on conversations, business records and reports both internal and external

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eye Care industry experience in a similar capacity
