The Manager- Compliance (Auditing) serves as the EyeMed Compliance team point person for client audits and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CMS audit rules and processes that drive client audits. The Manager is the single-point of intake for client audit notifications; audit deliverable requests and progress updates; resulting corrective action communication; and the final audit closure notification and resulting processes. The Manager supports the EyeMed compliance business partners as a resource for all audit process questions, including the applicable CMS audit protocols; audit logistics; timelines; research/analysis/interpretation of regulatory guidance; subjective CMS expectations; and best practices for performing in an audit from the time of the audit notice to the audit closure. The Manager communicates the results of each audit to the Compliance Officer and tracks the receipt of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and progress made in closing them.



  • Serves as the Compliance point person and SME for EyeMed client audits, including MA clients.
  • Leads client audits through audit intake, tracking, and closure of all MA Client audits, including communicating progress updates; resulting corrective action communication; and the final audit closure notification and resulting processes to the Compliance Officer
  • Provides impactful guidance and expertise on the audit process, related rules and expectations, logistics and CMS audit protocols to the operational areas undergoing the audit.
  • Prepares accurate and timely formal written reports for the Compliance Officer on audit progress and outcomes, including findings and observations and any resulting Corrective Action Plans.
  • Oversees tracking of CAP progress and closure, and forwards to Compliance Programs team for monitoring and ongoing oversight.
  • Identifies and communicates potential/actual trends and outliers audit results.



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the Compliance industry, specifically MA compliance (i.e. Plan, vendor, consulting)
  • 2+ years of experience in regulatory auditing
  • Experience in project oversight with demonstrated ability to drive implementation and influence others
  • Proven experience in auditing MA operational processes
  • Strong knowledge of the CMS Audit Protocols and the applicable CMS regulations
  • Analytical approach to process review and results
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from peers and management
  • Ability to influence internal and external constituents
  • Collaborative workstyle with the ability to build partnerships, teamwork and good working relationships
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive multiple audits at a time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, practical learning skills
  • Intermediate-level experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)



  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (HCCA)
