GENERAL FUNCTION

The Business Solutions Manager (Provider Operations) is responsible for leading, implementing and supporting business solution delivery pertaining to transformational initiatives for Provider Relations. The Business Solutions Manager will serve as the solutions designer and project contributor for Provider Operations. This role will meet all planned deliverables for transformation projects and act as key contact for the implementation of these initiatives.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages all new and/or expansion of Provider Operations projects in collaboration with the cross functional business teams.
  • Performs the analysis of business processes to clearly document current state, identify process gaps, provide recommendations and lead the design of future state processes.
  • Acts as the department change management advocate to drive change across people and systems. Creates an atmosphere of collaboration, building effective partnerships within the department and organization.
  • Supports business case development to justify transformational project costs.
  • Manages projects by keeping team deliverables/timelines established and overall responsibility for quality of delivery of enhancements, working with program managers to align on prioritization of projects for the Provider Relations team.
  • Partners with operations teams to align solutions with either system or business process enhancements ensuring streamlined business processes.
  • Manages analysis and assessment of external systems for integration into future provider platforms by leading the requirements through implementation phase leveraging standard tools for documentation.
  • Partners with data team to identify test strategies and data readiness to support end to end user acceptance testing, drives team to quality testing coverage and results.
  • Responsible for business requirements and definition by working with Provider Relations teams to solicit and understand business problem and need for change.
  • Aligns project scope and deliverables as it aligns with government and/or state regulations.
  • Partners with the functional compliance manager to ensure new processes are established and compliant with federal/state regulations and monitored for continued adherence.
  • Manages all system enhancements and configuration design for the provider operations team leading the requirements through implementation phase leveraging standards.
  • Drives team to ensure system configuration supports both internal and external constituent needs using data analytics to propose necessary configuration solutions.
  • Identify opportunities with recommendations for process improvements necessary to facilitate department functions.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, data or business process analysis
  • Healthcare experience
  • Excellent communication, planning, project management, teamwork and organization skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analysis and issue resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple assignments, establish priorities, and manage tight project timelines.
  • Strong balance of business and technology acumen.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical Claims coding experience
  • Business Objects reporting experience
  • Previous experience in a leadership capacity
