GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager – Business Development is part of the Strategic Partner Development team and is a key contributor in managing organizational initiatives related to international expansion. The role interacts with EyeMed executive leadership, supporting and conducting analyses, facilitating discussions, developing recommendations, participating in key strategic projects in international environment and delivering action plans. The Manager – Business Development will have the opportunity to work across all functions within the organization (Product, Network, Sales, Operations, IT) as a way of building a foundational understanding of the end-to-end operations of EyeMed.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for identifying, tracking, and managing high-visibility international projects from concept to completion
  • Leads cross functional teams across global markets, including finance, marketing, operations, to launch new initiatives and deliver end results on time and within budget
  • Conducts international market research, synthesizes key data points, develops perspectives and recommendations on international business issues using both internal and external sources of information
  • Facilitates discussions via appropriate communication material to assist with trade-off and decision making with internal and external stakeholders
  • Works collaboratively across the business and with senior leadership stakeholders to find new opportunities and deliver execution strategy for international expansion
  • Provides support in contract drafting and terms negotiations

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technical or engineering field
  • 5+ year’s experience
  • 2+ years in a strategy role with a top-tier consulting firm or corporate strategy team
  • Ability to lead projects and manage cross functional teams working on complex, operational and strategic initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity, and good business judgment
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent prioritization skills with a clear focus on results
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills, with proven ability to interpret data-driven findings into relevant, actionable and understandable business insights and actions
  • Knowledge of Business Objects or other data extraction tools
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with everyday tactical detail and a strong urge for action
  • Strong communication skills: writes and presents effectively; strong ability to adapt delivery and style to fit the audience and message; able to deliver messages that are well received and clearly understood
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and critical thinking
  • Experience facilitating collaboration in multi-cultural environment

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • International exposure, global experience and multi-cultural awareness
