The Manager of Business Development for Government Programs supports execution of sales activities to achieve growth goals for Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other government lines of business. The Manager will support preparations in expansion opportunities including critical research and deliverable preparation. The Manager also supports deployment of new solutions to grow the business.



  • Supports the sales process through research on prospects and development of presentations distributed internally and externally.
  • Performs in depth research and benchmarking unique to each existing and prospective partner, which showcases EyeMed’s value and capabilities to drive business development.
  • Serves as a Medicare and Medicaid subject matter expert, responsible for researching requirements, educating and providing support to EyeMed account managers and their strategic partners.
  • Maintains and updates appropriate Medicaid Market tools as additional information is publicly available.
  • Manages the pipeline, forecasts upcoming membership impacts, and interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports the development, execution and monetization of new Government Programs solutions. Works with account management, cross functional teams and external stakeholders as we implement new solutions.
  • Supports new win implementation activities and necessary contracting efforts.



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years business experience (sales support, marketing, data/business analytics or relevant experience)
  • Customer/client support experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
  • MS Office Suite proficiency



  • Benefits, insurance or healthcare industry experience
  • Understanding of government segments (Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Fed Gov)
  • Knowledge/Experience with CRM, preferably
  • Analytical skills with ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting required deadlines
