GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Manager- Commercial Compliance Program is responsible for monitoring and driving compliance oversight for the organization.  This includes operational processes and programs to assure compliance with Commercial regulatory requirements. The Sr. Manager leads all monitoring initiatives within the company and is charged with incorporating innovative means to utilize contractual client requirements. The Sr. Manager collaborates with the compliance team and compliance business partners to develop, implement, and maintain ongoing monitoring processes. The Sr. Manager is also responsible for reporting and communication of monitoring results.  The Sr. Manager collaborates with business owners and/or delegated vendors to drive remediation, as necessary, and assists EyeMed and its downstream entities in meeting its Client’s program requirements through oversight and monitoring.

 

  • MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability/risk, develops/implements corrective action plans, and provides guidance on how to avoid recurrence of issues in the future
  • Reviews and evaluates the status and effectiveness of corrective action plans, identifies trends, and provides follow-up to the Compliance Officer, Senior Management and key stakeholders. Leads internal monitoring processes for EyeMed, including incorporating ongoing client audits as an internal monitoring tool
  • Receives and reviews self-monitoring results from the key operational areas and downstream entities to assure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of downstream entity compliance programs and related policies and procedures
  • Prepares accurate and timely reports on oversight/monitoring findings and recommendations, including supporting documentation
  • Assists in the assessment of new and amended Commercial Client contracts and requirements for monitoring purposes
  • Collaborates with other departments and/or delegated subcontractors to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for research and resolution
  • Oversees the development, maintenance, and revision of Commercial policies and procedures library for the organization.
  • Updates annual compliance training materials and leads efforts to influence a culture of compliance.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5 to 8years of compliance monitoring and oversight or internal audit experience
  • 2+ years of experience in project oversight and management role with ability to drive implementation and influence multiple internal and external constituents
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework within which the company operates
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Ability to build partnerships and good working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in performing effective monitoring and oversight within a healthcare organization
  • Regulatory or legal training / experience
  • Knowledge of Commercial healthcare regulations
  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
