The Sr Manager, Provider Recruiting is responsible for the network management of the routine government program vision networks. This includes partnering with the Sales & Service teams to implement the network strategy to grow and maintain EyeMed’s government programs vision network. The Sr Manager is responsible for building and maintaining positive provider relationships, executing strategies and appropriate reporting to close network gaps, maximize provider retention, increase provider satisfaction and ensure compliance with state legislation.



  • Leads the project management of the whole network build and implementation
  • Develops and implements appropriate project timeline in collaboration with the sales team
  • Identifies sub-specialty providers necessary to meet state / client requirements and makes recommendations around specific provider pursuit
  • Initiates recruitment efforts to potential providers and presents the EyeMed program in a quality and professional manner
  • Finalize recruitment and contracting effort in order to fulfill credentialing and delivering requirements
  • Complete network and contracting effort to help providers comply with administration requirements.
  • Ensure providers complete credentialing and helps to resolve outstanding credentialing issues, working closely with appropriate internal departments
  • Ensure provider network is trained and onboarded and resolves any issues provider may have during implementation
  • Works within defined standards of administration, procedures, processes and tools.
  • Complies with all marketing collateral to deliver Provider core story
  • Participate in trade show events, conferences and face-to-face meetings with Providers to support contracting, recruiting and communication efforts
  • Builds business case to provide recommended approach for reimbursement increases
  • Manages a team of provider recruiters, setting team expectations, providing tools to be successful and offering on-going training and skill development
  • Conducts regular employee discussions, monitors employee performance, provides developmental coaching and conducts performance reviews



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of client facing experience
  • Able to work independently and set agenda for area of responsibility
  • Able to manage the details of numerous customers simultaneously, setting expectations with customers and follows-through on execution to completion
  • Experience leading people in cross-functional teams and / or projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of plan benefit designs, standards of administration, managed vision care and network options in the Government segment
  • Constructively challenges the process and searches for opportunities for improvement
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel



  • Experience in network development, provider relations or documented background in a sales and or account management capacity in the health care field
  • Working knowledge of private doctor community
  • Knowledge of plan benefit designs, standards of administration, managed vision care and network options, provider reimbursement methods
  • Ability to engage with physicians regarding reimbursement and negotiations
