The Manager-Business Development works closely with members of the EyeMed Strategic Partner Business Development, Account Management, and Marketing teams to develop and execute the training and education activities plan based on business priorities and strategies articulated by the Senior Director Business Development. Additionally, the Manager will support the development of training program content to achieve business objectives. This role will also provide reporting aligned with KPIs and execute monthly updates to be reviewed with EyeMed strategic partner leadership.



  • Manage the holistic platform that supports the education and activation of Strategic Partner sales teams with content that strategically drives membership growth in the commercial segment
  • Support the business development team with research and initiative support that facilitates line of business expansion
  • Create solid cross-functional relationships with internal and external constituents to project manage and influence key initiatives from the conceptual through deployment to establish yourself as a subject matter expert
  • Support creating learning plans for powered by EyeMed platform for the year- contribute ideas and perspective to achieve objectives and determine modality of learning and topics
  • Create content with SME support – decks, whitepapers, videos, e-learnings
  • Ability to both maintain a library of updated training materials, and customize those materials when client needs mandate, based on competitors, market factors, etc.
  • Remain informed of trends within commercial/ government vision insurance, and the broader sales training industry in general
  • Review and provide monthly updates on results by client tied to plan KPIs
  • Ability to create and drive incentive initiatives designed to encourage training volumes



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years business experience (insurance training experience with technical products preferred)
  • Strong project management experience
  • Customer/client support experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
  • MS Office Suite proficiency



  • Benefits, insurance or healthcare industry experience
  • Understanding of government segments (Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Fed Gov)
  • Advance skills in Proficiency of Windows software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience leading people through influence
