GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Manager, Store Construction (Account Management) is responsible for developing strong relationships with internal and external customers to establish priorities, set expectations, and deliver on clients’ needs. Fosters an environment of teamwork with other construction functional department, ensuring the client’s projects are on time, within scope, within budget and meet expectations. Utilizes experience in retail store construction to support fleet expansion and remodel plans.  This role is central to the entire construction process and responsible for client satisfaction and financial consistency between AFE, cost estimates and final cost estimate.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works cross functionally to develop and align strategies for the Store Delivery Process (Retail Brands and Store Planning/design and construction)
  • Owns effective communication between clients and neXtore. Manages weekly meetings with all key stakeholders to ensure project status, timetables, and costs are effectively managed
  • Oversees the management of budgets, forecasts, actual expenditures, and change orders
  • Manages the construction schedules and design implementation in assigned projects ensuring alignment with Real Estate and Brands plans
  • Confers with store planning to ensure construction documentation and store delivery conditions are achieved on time
  • Participates in strategic planning and tactical sessions with key business partners to align business processes/protocols which yield important advancements for the brands
  • Analyzes and evaluates current processes for planning, design and construction of new stores, remodels and store projects
  • Participate to cost estimate reviews and provide feedback on the final costs
  • Be the escalation point for the retail Brands, mediate concerns, and problem solve issues
  • Ensures the execution of all existing store design and development projects, to ensure projects remain on budget and stores are delivered to the Store Operations group

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Store Design or related field
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in store construction, project management, account management, or related field; including prior experience with a major retail luxury brand or general contractor
  • Strong executive presence with ability to influence decisions and manage expectations
  • Excellent account management, project management skills, and communications skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with construction designs, drawings and computer software
  • Superior quality standards and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior design or architecture experience preferred
  • Previous direct construction management in malls and street locations in major US cities helpful
