GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Training Manager of EyeMed works closely with other members of the Business Training Team and business partners to develop an execution plan based on business priorities and strategies articulated by the Senior Director Business Training as well as the priorities of EyeMed Executive Leadership Team. Additionally, they will develop training program content to achieve business objectives and when appropriate, manage internal and external partners in the development of the deployment method (self-learning lesson eLearning, instructor led, job aids, video, virtual classroom etc.). This role will also provide reporting aligned with KPIs and build monthly updates to be reviewed with EyeMed leadership. They should possess strong facilitation, influence and project management skills along with the ability to think strategically and develop effective business plans.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership and support for the Business Training Center of Excellence initiatives specifically related to the EyeMed scope.  Partner closely with the Milan Training Corporate Team and EyeMed Leadership team to deliver best-in-class training solutions.

  • Create solid cross-functional relationships to project manage and influence key initiatives from the conceptual and “prioritized / funded” stage  through deployment to establish yourself as a go-to person on the team
  • Own the coordination and execution of approved strategies, ensuring appropriate initiative prioritization
  • Demonstrate acute planning and follow up skills
  • Own the tracking of project status against key milestones and evaluate ability to achieve timeline
  • Recommend solutions and enhancements with Milan Training Team partnership
  • Involved in creating learning solutions (elearnings, videos, virtual classrooms) with the collaboration and approval of Milan partners and respecting global guideliness.
  • Project manage with outsource vendor if necessary to ensure we meet all predetermine deadlines
  • Executive presence: ability to interact with upper level leadership. 
    • Managing projects and evaluating results to us to report back to business
    • Coming to direct supervisor with important information for future needs
    • Remain informed of all EyeMed initiatives and training needs
    • Support EyeMed Summit yearly
  • Review and provide monthly update on results by brand tied to plan KPI's.
  • Keep learning plans alive and updated regularly.
  • Streamline and simplify processes to elevate the associate experience
  • Identify and maintain processes and tools to drive standardization and efficiency

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Learning, Training or Retail Leadership
  • 8+ years specialty retail
  • 8+ years project management experience or equivalent
  • Experience leading people through influence
  • Experience with Business Objects
  • Strong analytical skills- ability to create, understand, analyze and manage reports
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Clear communications, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain an enthusiastic attitude
  • Advance skills in Proficiency of Windows software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Facilitator Skills optional
