GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Manager of Operations for Sunglass Hut Retail is passionate about improving processes and driving change to improve the daily life of store associates. They are a project management expert who can work cross functionally to move projects from inception to end. They will support new business driving initiatives while also supporting our complex and diverse store systems. They will provide operational leadership on store technology projects as well as pro-actively work toward future needs with a focus on Digital tools to improve associate processes and customer experience. They will exercise independent judgment and discretion to identify and recommend improvements in operational efficiencies, processes and productivity, and collaborate in the development, implementation and communication of strategies and plans. 

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead cross-functional implementation of new business driving initiatives: Flexible payments methods, add on services, and new eyewear technology.
  • Foster open feedback between field leadership, store team, and corporate partners to identify root causes, patterns and inconsistencies
  • Create roadmap strategy for current and upcoming technology to improve usage in store by partnering with operations & training teams
  • Work cross functionally to implement new support processes to ensure consistent and efficient support
  • Foster new Store Technology initiatives to include POS and mobile technology and Digital applications
  • Leads the functional development of the customer transaction processes across store systems
  • Oversee direct report to support in any current projects and follow up needed
  • Focus on people development to ensure direct report is developed for future growth opportunities
  • Provide communication content for all projects and initiatives 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years experience with retail operations
  • 2+ years project management experience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Clear communications, both written and verbal
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency of Windows software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  College Degree preferred
  • Project management experience with complex system deployments
  • Project Management Certification
  • 5+ years in highly technical discipline and/or specialty retail
  • 5+ years operations experience
