Responsible for creating/managing/executing EHS policies/procedures across the Atlanta campus and ensures compliance to all applicable local/state/federal regulatory requirements. Responsible for establishing relationships with internal business partners to build trust, confidence, & influence EHS performance. 



  • Develop campus EHS strategy, oversee policies/procedures across the campus including RxO, Logistics, NAASC & office staff
  • Drive alignment with businesses creating EHS plan to meet organization objectives
  • Act as a strategic business partner/change agent/trusted member of the leadership
  • Develop/Recommend/Implement programs to ensure compliance with all applicable local/ state/federal EHS regulations including documentation, reporting, training, & program development.
  • Monitor effectiveness of EHS policies/practice/processes to determine efficiency/effectiveness. Recommend improvements to achieve, deliver improved results
  • Facilitate organization/leadership development, addressing root causes of EHS issues
  • Coach at all levels on a variety of environment health and safety topics
  • Influence senior mgmt., clarify/resolve EHS issues, improve program effectiveness
  • Lead/Train/Develop team of safety/environmental health professionals
  • Partner with corporate, Luxottica US & Global EHS personnel, leverage global EHS practices into the Atlanta campus
  • Establish/Build safety metrics, provide leadership with accurate reporting/metrics, support business safety initiatives, justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest
  • Manage Worker’s Comp claim function, ensure timely reporting, manage claims & costs
  • Ensure incident reporting/investigation processes identify root causes, prevent recurrence
  • Interact with external regulatory agencies (OSHA, Henry County, Fire Depart., local/state/federal agencies
  • Work with internal business partners regarding new product/equipment/process introductions/various EHS initiatives/programs/practices
  • Implement/maintain ISO 14001, ISO 45001 onsite
  • Partner with unions to manage environmental/health/safety programs/initiatives



  • BS/BA safety/environmental/ergonomics/or related field
  • 10+ years in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing/logistics organizations
  • 5+ years of experience leading/building teams
  • Expertise in local/state/Federal regulatory requirements related to EHS
  • Experience leading change in large manufacturing/DC environment
  • Managing multiple direct reports
  • Written/verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with executives
  • Analytical/Problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
  • Handle changing priorities, good judgment in stressful situations
  • Certified Safety Professional, or EHS certifications



  • Master’s degree in safety/environmental/ergonomics/or related field
