GENERAL FUNCTION

The position will support the Operations by creating visibility reports of forecasted volumes and order portfolio analysis in order to anticipate shipment levels and plan capacity at the DC. The Manager- Capacity Forecasting will collaborate with the Markets and Operations/Lab teams to foresee changes in the volumes that require updates to operational plans. This position will compile volume forecasts and operation plans to prepare retail, wholesale, and e-commerce forecasts.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizes and leads all reporting/forecasting for shipment levels and plans capacity within the facility
  • Recognizes trends, and presents improvement ideas to senior leadership
  • Partners with the Operations team to help implement changes to improve planning of capacity levels
  • Reduces planning deviations/errors and improves forecasting accuracy.
  • Communicates closely with the commercial team on volume forecasting and with Operations on capacity planning
  • Leads the forecasting meeting with Operations to define medium term operation plans
  • Closely monitors actual shipments/invoicing versus forecasts and analyzes the root causes of variances to key stakeholders.
  • Prepares and analyzes sets of reports and KPIs on order portfolio and forecasts, showing eventual deviations from planned capacity/volumes
  • Uses analytical reports to influence senior leadership into facilitating changes
  • Designs and implements reporting solutions with the Global Reporting team in Logistics
  • Assists in compiling ad hoc reports and KPIs.
  • Gathers the requirements, validates logic, and automates reports on volumes

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Planning S&OP, Forecasting and Reporting
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Results oriented with a proven track record
  • Hands on attitude but with focus on the bigger picture
  • Strong blend of analytical, decision making, and creative problem solving skills
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint presentations

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP knowledge
  • Advanced Degree (MBA, Master’s)
