The Planning Manager is a key member of the distribution planning team of a 1st level distribution center, with the objective of managing the allocation run and simulation function for all channels of trade for AFA (Apparel, Footwear, and Accessories), and support the analysis and optimization of service level.




  • Manages the SAP ARUN for all trade channels of the AFA business.
  • Manages delivery creation and delivery priorities based on delivery date, customer relevance and order type.
  • Manages the allocation of exceptions.
  • Manages the Simulation team and all its functions.
  • Keeps good relationship with the sales team and engages with them to maintain a clean and portfolio to achieve not only long- and short-term shipping targets and stock targets.
  • Trouble shoots the orders placed in SAP to ensure they are considered by allocation.
  • Continuously monitors inventory levels and acts to achieve stock targets.
  • Supports key projects to develop lean logistics.
  • Balances workload and time schedule of the AFA Simulation team.
  • Ensures prioritization of AFA deliveries in the Simulation area and releases them to the floor.
  • Acts as main point of contact and liaison between Operations and Planning by managing the Simulation team.
  • Generates and monitors workflows to ensure timely delivery to customers for AFA.
  • Type of analysis includes:
    • Daily Nightly Arun result
    • Daily delivery creation result
    • Comparison of WIP, allocated quantities, actual shipped quantities, and weekly targets to ensure enough deliveries are created to hit the weekly target
    • Aging of the WIP in the warehouse
    • NPI delivery scheduling
    • Workload of the employees for different shifts according to the commercial forecast
    • Balance of stock in the different stock categories
    • Spot analysis to support daily activities and trouble shooting 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain in complex environments
  • Ability to gather, manipulate and interpret data, solve problems, predict trends, and establish priorities
  • Well organized, self-motivated, ability to adhere to deadlines and ability to multi-task
  • Good communication and team building skills
  • Able to work in an international and dynamic environment 



  • Experience with SAP AFS, MS Office and planning systems
