GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr Recruiter manages the full-life cycle recruitment process for permanent positions while providing a consultative approach. This includes: driving consistent communication with hiring teams, providing detailed market analysis, and executing creative sourcing techniques across a core business function or group.

In addition to recruiting responsibilities, the Sr Recruiter acts as a front-line leader for the Talent Acquisition department. They assist in mentoring and guiding Recruiters and working with the Talent Acquisition team on strategic initiatives to improve performance of the department.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages a full desk of open requisitions, sourcing and delivering candidates through a variety of channels in exempt and non-exempt roles within Luxottica Operations network
  • Builds and maintains proactive partnerships with internal and external clients in order to understand business and staffing needs
  • Develops and executes recruitment strategies to proactively search for a diverse pool of candidates using various recruiting methods including: cold-calling, networking/relationship building, social networking, and building and maintaining a pipeline of talent
  • Acts in a front line leadership role within Talent Acquisition, promoting change and innovative ideas to ensure continuous improvement of the department
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert on hiring techniques and legal issues regarding hiring practices; gathers competitive intelligence, industry trends, and labor market data to create and execute search strategies
  • Assists in mentoring and guiding Recruiters and peer associates on best practices and procedures
  • Acts as liaison between candidates, Hiring Managers and HR business partners providing guidance through the interview, offer, and hiring process
  • Leads small project teams for stretch assignments within Talent Acquisition to expand working knowledge and business acumen
  • Generates reports and data, new proposals, and general corporate information and contributes to weekly presentations to Operations Executive team
  • Liaises with external Recruitment Agencies/vendors.
  • Delivers results against prescribed Talent Acquisition KPI’s (time to fill, quality metrics, etc)

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years’ relevant recruitment industry experience
  • Corporate or Technical Operations recruiting and sourcing experience including a mix of exempt and high-volume non-exempt positions
  • Expert knowledge and experience in recruitment concepts, best practices, and procedures
  • Prior experience managing external vendors to include MSPs, staffing agencies, executive search firms, and other external talent providers
  • Advanced experience with automated applicant tracking tools (SuccessFactors / Taleo etc)
  • Ability to influence senior leadership within and outside of Talent Acquisition based on external talent market conditions
  • High energy, and has relationship building skills with ability to take initiative, prioritize, influence, negotiate and partner cross-functionally
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data through reports and analysis to drive hiring outcomes

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience recruiting mid to senior-level positions in a highly-matrixed Operations environment including Engineering, Supply Chain, Analytics, and Manufacturing disciplines
