GENERAL FUNCTION

The position will focus on ensuring that the Voice of the Customer (VOC) is both understood and respected within the Atlanta Service Center (ASC).  This is accomplished by driving the smooth flow of customer orders through the Atlanta operations with a focus on proactive issue prevention especially within the Web Channel but also supporting Wholesale, AFA & Retail channels.  This role is positioned on the front-line of logistics operations, leveraging operational understanding, daily reporting and data analysis to collaborate with the Atlanta operations team in driving customer experience.  The team member will follow day-to-day operations including order management, processing, shipping, customer inquiries and communications with the commercial team for critical customer orders.

 

Other responsibilities will include driving projects with cross-functional teams to reduce customer complaints with emphasis in the Web channel, but also with Retail, Wholesale and AFA, while granting service level and logistics efficiency.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain situational awareness of all Atlanta-based logistics activities within the Web flow, in order to provide timely and accurate updates to the sales team.
  • Provide recommendations and propose solutions to Operations in terms of prioritizing web order flow to the various technologies in the distribution center in accordance with priorities from the Sales team.
  • Develop and continuously improve the reporting mechanisms to support new web customer onboarding in an ever-changing market.
  • Facilitate automation development of all web channel Simulations, Packing, reporting and other tasks to gain efficiencies.
  • Analyze and report trends through the web channel to propose recommended changes and anticipate challenges.
  • Coordinate activities with Engineering & Maintenance on VAS projects that support sales as the voice of the customer.
  • Support the web-based Merge Operations sub department, understanding their service levels and reporting processes.
  • Act as the liaison between logistics operations and the commercial organization.
  • Leverage SAP to monitor the day-to-day order management process including volumes, aging and status of customer orders.
  • Detect and communicate to Operations any issue preventing the smooth flow of customer orders with priority and urgency.
  • Escalate to Management any issue regarding critical customers that are not resolved.
  • Support Amazon SGH readiness & NPS data tracking and reporting.
  • Become a key player at the ATL DC to increase Web Service Levels and reducing chargebacks & claims.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Logistics in complex environments
  • Ability to gather, sort and interpret data, solve problems, predict trends, and establish priorities that balance operations capabilities and the needs of the customer.
  • Well organized, self-motivated, adhere to deadlines and ability to multi-task
  • Good communication and team building skills
  • Report automation skills
  • Continuous Improvement and Implementation experience
  • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
  • Experience with SAP AFS, MS Office and planning systems preferred
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Data management & analysis skill set
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
