Acts as main information & reporting resource for the Planning team. They demonstrate attention to detail & possess critical thinking skills to produce accurate & insightful analysis. Responsibilities include analyzing performance focused on key business metrics, implementing functionalities to automate & streamline reporting from various sources. In addition, the data analyst will support sales & inventory activities to achieve highest level of service with balanced inventory investment.



Report Creation, Generation and Automation

  • Prepares daily/weekly/monthly reports utilizing various planning systems, SAP, Business Objects, etc., continually modifying to meet new business requirements
  • Assists team with development of complex Excel spreadsheets, automation formulas, & reports formatting
  • Manipulates data between databases to provide more useful information
  • Streamline processes to minimize time, ensure highest level of accuracy, including validation before delivery to end-user
  • Plays key role in project startup requiring data analysis. Identifies best practice to obtain information & develop format to provide information to management

Systems Administration

  • Represents Planning Team to evaluate data requirements & work with IT on development of systems, file structures & data elements
  • Documents all newly developed processes & automation tools
  • Ensures integrity of data structure, processes & related tools, communicates details to others like counterparts in Sourcing & Italy

Data Analysis and Forecasting

  • Provides historical sales & inventory information, makes recommendations on product & inventory direction where necessary
  • Recaps new product/promotional activity, determines impact on sales & recommended adjustments to future forecasts for related items
  • Evaluates at a style/SKU level & forecast sales/replenishments based on style cannibalization, stock position, & expansion plans within the assortment
  • Supplies management with analysis of KPIs within department /classifications
  • Evaluates inventory supply to support promotional events, communicates issues to Planning Managers/Management
  • Monitors DC inventory levels, makes transfers as needed to support service goals
  • Provides Planning team with ad hoc analysis as needed



  • Bachelor’s degree; concentration in Supply Chain, Ops, Business, & Finance preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in Logistics/Supply Chain or similar environment
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple data sources
  • Strong verbal & written skills, in addition to strong presentation ability
  • Able to gather, manipulate, & interpret data, solve problems, & establish priorities
  • Well organized, self-motivated, ability to adhere to deadlines & multi-task
  • Good communication & team building skills
  • Strong analytical & mathematical skills - able to extract conclusions from available data
  • Advanced Excel



  • Knowledge of Access & Visual Basics is a plus. Prior Planning knowledge preferred
  • 2 years in a logistics/supply chain environment experience
  • SAP AFS, MS Office & planning systems experience
