GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager, Engagement & Culture will be responsible for supporting culture and engagement while overseeing strategies focused on understanding and improving the employee experience within the Region. This role will support the Engagement & Culture programs as well as own the data administration and analysis for the function.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for planning and driving Engagement & Culture programs toward successful completion. Support the team’s prioritization on activities, key events, and deadlines, then facilitate alignment of the contributors and stakeholders through to completion in a way that fosters inclusion at all levels.
  • Assess business needs and develop creative strategies to impact overall Regional engagement.
  • Proactively work to connect overall Talent team initiatives to engagement strategies.
  • Manage data administration and results analysis for functional initiatives. Identify and enlist internal resources and vendor partnership, as needed.
  • Partner to develop and execute of Regional recognition programs and campaigns based in Luxottica values and the empowerment of employees to drive results.
  • Support and execute diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the Region
  • Responsible for management of wellbeing programs for employees, in partnership with Benefits team.
  • Support driving Regional engagement through culture initiatives and strong project/program management expertise
  • Draw on HR background and business savvy to identify red flags in messaging or experience.
  • Stay current with trends in engagement and organizational culture, as well as external trends in the employee experience cycle.
  • Strategically collaborate with and build relationships across Business Units.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Relations, Marketing, or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years’ experience in combination of Employee Engagement, HR, and/or Communications required
  • Demonstrated experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion programming
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect employee engagement back to business objectives
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience required, data presentation software (ex: Visme) experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, listening, and presentation
  • Ability to balance multiple projects while meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on conversations, business records and reports both internal and external

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent executive presence and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of optical and retail operations
