GENERAL FUNCTION

This position will play a key role on the LensCrafters Sales and business support team with a key focus on LensCrafters but also supporting all RONA brands. This position will be responsible for supporting the following activities: store sales and goal planning, weekly/monthly business reporting including report writing/maintenance and distribution, trend analysis and process improvement recommendations, ad hoc reporting, analysis & process recommendations to leadership and expense forecasting and variance analysis.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Increase productivity by developing complex excel spreadsheets, query tools, automation of formulas, and custom formatting of reports; Coordinate information requirements.
  • Create and streamline the LensCrafters store goal process
  • Provide useful insights and assist decision making for the following subjects: Store Sales Goals & Commissions
  • Communicate complex processes to Senior Management and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
  • Demonstrate ability to establish proactive working relationships with business partners
  • Develop methodologies/functionality to automate and streamline reporting tools and databases.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement via Excel and Macro automation.
  • Participate in special projects and create ad hoc analysis
  • Support financial managers/analysts as they partner on key projects
  • Works cooperatively with other disciplines and accepts direction from supervisors.
  • Prepares management reports for Corporate and senior Luxottica management.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree Finance /Accounting required
  • 3+ years Retail systems or Financial Planning and Analysis experience.
  • Strong Experience in Microsoft Excel;
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Essbase & Business Objects
  • Sound business judgment and strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Solid tactical management skills and business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to build the business through improved analysis, trending and reporting
  • Demonstrated team-builder, with the ability to work collaboratively with other individuals and disciplines
  • Innovative style with a “roll-up-the-sleeves” attitude

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with standard SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft Macros preferred. Both the ability to troubleshoot and create new Macros.
