GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Brand Manager (Sr Manager Marketing) of CHANEL is responsible for providing leadership and direction to elevate the CHANEL image & achieve business results.  Oversee the development and execution of trade marketing & training strategy for CHANEL in terms of image enhancement, client experiences and business results. Establish optimal license relationship to ensure mutual goals are met. Responsible for driving insights, analytics and providing strategic input on the direction of the business and marketing plans.  Guide & motivate all members of the CHANEL sales & marketing team. 

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement the Brand/s strategy and marketing/business plans
  • Provide strategic leadership - ability to drive both short and long-term brand growth and profitability
  • Perform market and competitive analysis as well as analysis of sales and distribution results to identify key issues, trends and opportunities to support and formulate recommendations for business/marketing plans
  • Responsible for top and bottom line of the brand as well as for the Marketing Budget
  • Partner with all cross functional teams (sales directors, account managers, planners; sales leaders; finance) to ensure effective business delivery for the brands & align on company & brand goals
  • Setting, monitoring and reviewing annual & quarterly brand targets
  • Lead distribution & audit plans
  • Identify opportunities to grow door productivity
  • Partner with local supply Chain & corporate brand planner on key business initiates (i.e. never out of stock, best sellers, etc)
  • Partner with corporate teams to provide required business reporting (sales, distribution, visibility projects, etc.)
  • Responsible for developing & executing strategic training plans for both internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent brand experience cross all channel
  • Establish and manage the CHANEL license & Luxottica Corporate relationship to influence decisions to ultimately drive results
  • Guide & work closely with Luxottica Wholesale North America Sales Teams to develop, monitor and drive brand and business goals
  • Manage, coach and develop team members

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
  • 7+ years of Marketing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Strong business acumen
  • Extensive experience in business analysis and strategic planning
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Represents the organization effectively to clients and external groups, including licensors
  • High level of computer literacy: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • High level of knowledge of budgeting cost estimating and fiscal management principles and procedures
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with a high attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
  • Ability to create and maintain a professional relationship and line of communication with all business contacts, sales force and customers
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (minimum 25% a year)
