GENERAL FUNCTION

The CHANEL Senior Brand Manager is responsible for the development and execution of distribution allocation as well as marketing and merchandising initiatives to drive Chanel sales and brand image within each Retail Brand.   The Sr Manager oversees the delivery & execution of a fully integrated product, marketing and business strategy and acts as the liaison with key stakeholders, including the CHANEL licensor, Internal Brand & corporate teams.  Elevates the overall distribution through training, productivity & best in class customer service with each POS.

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Strategy Implementation

  • Partners with each Retail Brand cross-functional team to execute and communicate a comprehensive Chanel strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities.
  • Influences and collaborates with senior level stakeholders to align on company and Chanel brand strategies. 
  • Collaborates across all levels of the organization and across all functions including Brand leadership, Operations, RxO, Store Planning, Marketing, Finance and Training.
  • Build and leverage partnerships with local licensor’s relationship and Milan corporate team to align strategies and implementation.
  • Elevates the overall distribution through door productivity growth, training, and delivering best in class customer service.

Marketing Management

  • Create Chanel programs to drive consumer traffic to retail stores and increase sales.
  • Strategically lead and execute Chanel marketing programs in line with local relevancy, consumer targets and brand equity.
  • Exhibit strong understanding of all business KPIs, drivers of retail and license business performance.
  • Direct Retail cross-functional teams to full 360-implementation of Chanel marketing initiatives and event recap
  • Work closely with Global teams and Cross-Functional local teams to secure funding and optimize launch activations according to Retail brand calendar and product cadence to optimize sell-through.

Product and Merchandising Management

  • Acts as the Chanel brand business partner/expert for Group Store Planning and Central Merchandising
  • Manage Chanel Product communications for brand field organization
  • Support Store Segmentation Annual store review and coordinate and respond to Chanel Ad hoc distribution requests (openings, closures, facings etc.)
  • Ensure effective Partnership/Host feedback including adherence to contract obligations, Product/Brand obligations, hosting strategy insights.
  • Support local market and brand initiatives with strong level of analysis and insights to global partners

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field
  • 7+ years of brand management experience; fashion industry a plus
  • Experience leading a team
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, environment & demanding project schedules
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (minimum once/quarter)

  • Fashion accessories brand management experience
