GENERAL FUNCTION

Working within Luxottica’s central strategic initiatives team, the Director of M&A Due Diligence will build, develop and define a robust M&A valuation model while defining the processes for all future M&A activity.

 

The Director of M&A Due Diligence partners with senior leaders to identify, evaluate, prioritize and lead M&A due diligence outcomes and recommendations on small and medium sized acquisitions to the Luxottica ecosystem in the North American retail market.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates M&A valuation model for future M&A activity, refines and adjusts based on business need and direction
  • Researches, synthesizes and develops perspectives and recommendations on critical business issues using both internal and external sources of information related to M&A activity.
  • Assesses, and evaluates new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, M&A, etc.
  • Optimize M&A deal structure and identify any risks and opportunities associated with each transaction
  • Manages relationship with prospective acquisition partners as the business moves through Due Diligence process
  • Leads specific action plans with business leaders in to realize opportunities, address shortfalls, and advise on longer-term business vision.
  • Proactively partners with external vendors, legal, finance, tax, operations to ensure each valuation meets the model expectations.
  • Provides analytical point support on critical questions in the business.
  • Creates executive presentations and communication material to assist with trade-off and decision making.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or equivalent (focus on M&A Due Diligence strategy, consulting)
  • 8+ years either; in a leading investment bank, consulting firm or in a Private Equity environment
  • 3+ years in building modelling for evaluation of M&A deals
  • Strong analytics & modeling background with ability to interpret analytical findings into relevant, actionable and understandable business insights and actions
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills, maturity and good judgement
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Excellent prioritization skills with a clear focus on results
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with everyday tactical detail and a strong urge for action

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA (focus on M&A Due Diligence strategy, consulting)
  • Experience in a strategy role
