The Retail Manager (Account) is responsible for fostering optimal customer relationships to maximum sell-thru of the Luxottica portfolio in Premium Sun assigned territories. The Retail Manager (Account) collaborates with Luxottica Account Management teams, Marketing and external customers in order to align with priorities, processes and protocols. This role is based in the New York City office and will report to the Sales Director.  



  • Partner with Retail Managers to direct field team visits and activities based on sales opportunities and marketing priorities to drive sell-through of the Luxottica portfolio 
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to plan and ensure field execution of relative account initiatives and priorities
  • Build relationships with priority accounts to fully understand and strategize needs and opportunities to support improved sell thru.
  • Coordinate and execute ongoing training for ISS team
  • Plan and execute ISS Summits twice per year
  • Establish consistent and productive internal communication protocols to ensure mutual information exchange from internal partners to field and back
  • Meets sales goals by tracking performance, analyzing reports to identify opportunities and developing action plans to deliver sales and sell thru growth
  • Ensure merchandising and visual standards are consistently maintained in accordance with brand/license agreements and category standards
  • Develop in-store contests, promotions and special events to promote and positively influence sell-thru
  • Provide regular field intelligence to internal partners (AM, TM, Brand, etc.) to identify opportunities to improve and grow the business
  • Plans and ensures quality execution of brand standards, retail animation projects and other trade marketing initiatives
  • Work with Business Analytics to set Quarterly Sales Targets and MBOs for ISS Team
  • Stay current with all Luxottica products, services, promotions, advertising and competitive offers to facilitate sales efforts; maintain awareness of competitors’ products, promotions and services
  • Manage T&E and Trade Marketing budgets to plan



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration;
  • 5+ years of experience in retail sales and/or visual merchandising; 1 - 2 years supervisory experience and multi-unit experience
  • Passionate, independent and self-motivated
  • Strategic, analytical and creative thinker
  • Developed communication skills- written and verbal
  • Strong ability to present in front of large groups, coach and motivate teams
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with flexibility
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated sales, merchandising and training techniques and strategies
  • Ability to quickly generate and initiate creative solutions to problems as they arise
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively according to the needs of the business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital photography



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration; concentration in merchandising, marketing or sales preferred.
