GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr Representative is responsible for performing and/or overseeing various activities relating to the sales team and customer programs, with a specific emphasis on the independent channel. The role supports the design of quarterly promotions, sales incentives, and budgets related to Strategic Partnership incentives.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support communication and monitors annual partnership and sponsorship programs
  • Monitor and track sales reports and communicates performance trends to all parties
  • Build out annual preferred vendor agreements for key strategic partner heads
  • Work with the legal team to review and tweak language in the preferred vendor agreements
  • Monitor and support plan budget spend on national events and trainings with key groups
  • Follow up on payment receipt and ensure costs are accounted for in master budget file
  • Support events by setting up and coordinating flyers, newsletters, and giveaways
  • Ensure that member updates are completely weekly in master data
  • Recommend opportunities to for growth in this channel
  • Liaise between the BI group, Sales Force and Strategic Partners to maximize opportunities in the field
  • Coordinate with the Director, Sales Business Development and Senior Manager to support program / sponsoring strategy for external partners (Buying groups, Alliances, Strategic accounts….)
  • Help in the coordination and execution of trainings to strategic partners and their members
  • Foster strong relationship and provide ongoing support to key partners from both the Alliance and Buying Groups
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships internally with BI, Finance, Credit, Sales Management and Sales Force
  • Supports quarterly promotions (sell in and sell through) to management by understanding brand and business objectives and incorporating input from sales team
  • Manage tracking, results, reporting, payouts and communications on Buying Group Alliance incentives and programs
  • Works with creative team to develop high impact sales tools that support promotional sell-in
  • Works with analyst to analyze prior promotions to evaluate effectiveness and includes analysis in program recommendations

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience working in an account management function or similar role
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically but tactically as well
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively cross-functionally within the organization as well as with external customers
  • Strong initiative and sense of urgency – ability to work within the high expectation of the company, team, and vendor partners
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to quickly generate and initiate creative solutions to problems as they arise
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to forge strong working relationships with internal teams and sales force
  • Must be able to think creatively and critically, solve problems and track, analyze and report data
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis processes
  • Ability to work independently and creatively problem solve

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using Business Objects applications a plus
  • Experience working on SAP with data input and retrieval
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
