GENERAL FUNCTION

Lead a team of data scientists & reporting experts to create/manage various databases, reporting engines & KPI reports.  Drive transformational data strategy providing real-time business intelligence & analytics to executive leadership & cross-functional teams including ops, supply chain, quality, product, engineering, commercial support, HR, finance, logistics, & brand customers.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Sr. Data Analysts & Managers delivering accurate/automated/relevant analytics across all businesses. This includes
    • Advance query/design/database & systems expertise of multiple operational & analytical systems
    • Automate reporting manufacturing/service/efficiency metrics of manufacturing & Rx Order Management
    • Design/Execute database queries in various systems of data including SAP, LMS, KRONOS, & others
  • Drive strategy, provide real-time business intelligence/analytics to executive leadership/cross-functional teams including ops, supply chain, quality, product, engineering, commercial support, HR, finance, logistics, & brand customers
  • Build level of digitization & further develop enhancements, integrating different data sources, systems & platforms
  • Integrate cross-functional teams domestically/globally, develop/implement leading edge data strategy/roadmap
  • Set/Implement data governance policies
  • Manage/Steer data, analytics budget, platform & architecture
  • Determine future tool stacks for data/analytics/projects towards technology innovation & current & future scalability
  • Champion data use to drive decision-making at all levels
  • Cultivate effective/balanced self-service analytics, build data-savvy culture to answer questions

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Computer Science/Engineering or Data analytics
  • 10+ yrs. data science/analytics experience with successful track record in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment
  • 5+ yrs. experience leading team of data analysts & data engineers
  • 5+ yrs. experience with data warehousing systems
  • Set data architecture, guide teams for high reliability & low processing time/data, process & present data flows
  • Ability to understand prioirites, effectively manage scarce resources
  • Strong influencing skills, navigate complex decisions/processes with multiple partners
  • Exellent communication skills; ability to take analysis results & drive meaningful solutions
  • Experience in unstructured/semi-structured data from different sources
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking skills
  • Proven effectiveness driving change in complex organizations
  • Challenge business leaders, build relationships & gain respect
  • Navigate organization leveraging authority & creditability
  • High energy, action-oriented

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Degree
  • 5+ ys. experience managing data architecture in manufacturing or supply chain ops
  • Proven experience employing machine learning in real-time operations environments for improving production/reliability/service time or equivalent
