The Human Resources Business Partner provides HR leadership by supporting an extensive (remote) results oriented sales organization. The HRBP is an integral part of the cross-functional HR team and operates in high growth and fast paced business within a highly complex matrixed to vertically integrated (design to distribution) organization.


  • Partners closely with the Sales force to resolve issues and provide direction that drives business value.
  • Acts as the point of contact in resolving employee relation issues.
  • Addresses first line employee relations issues, complaints, and conducts investigations in order to move toward resolution.
  • Reviews trends and suggests recommended actions to ensure positive organizational changes and continued employee engagement.
  • Works with line leaders to bridge talent gaps and provide developmental/training opportunities.
  • Provides input and guidance on succession planning in an effort to promote internal growth opportunities and build talent pipeline.
  • Fosters a high performing, results driven culture by being able to performance manage and engage in disciplinary action when deemed appropriate.
  • Develops and promotes feedback mechanisms for employees and managers to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes.
  • Challenges the status quo and proactively identifies/develops solutions that positively impact the workforce.
  • Partners with the business in executing change management strategies and behavioral adoption.
  • Works closely with cross-functional HR team to deliver key HR initiatives: Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance Management, Compensation planning, Benefit Administration, Engagement & Retention, Training & Development, and Succession Planning.


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant experience
  • 3+ years of prior Human Resources Management experience
  • Significant knowledge of HR policies and processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence
  • Aptitude to engage, inspire, and influence people
  • Ability to identify opportunities and proactively lead and drive change
  • Strong business acumen and organizational agility
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Functions comfortably and effectively in an entrepreneurial and high growth environment
  • Understanding of federal, state and local employment laws/regulations


  • 3+ years of prior Human Resources Management experience supporting a sales population
  • Previous experience supporting independent contractors and hourly employees
  • Knowledge of commission/variable incentives compensation programs
  • Canadian/employment labor law
  • SAP/ADP HRIS System knowledge
