The SAP programmer is responsible for the design, development, testing and support for SAP ABAP to meet the business needs of organization. Work closely with the SAP Functional Specialists to develop, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionalities. The Lead ABAP Developer adds value through their knowledge of the ABAP integration with core SAP modules. Additionally, provides daily production support by troubleshooting SAP related issues which are related to technical programs.



  • Responsible for SAP ABAP programs, providing (programming) services that support business requirements
  • Assist business and technical Business Systems Analysts in analysis and design efforts.
  • Designs, configures and develops applications and systems for the management of the company’s SAP ERP covering sales, logistics, CRM and finance
  • Works with Business Systems Analysts to develop and/or modify ABAP dialog programs, reports, ABAP Objects, ALV reports, user exits, BADIs, SAP scripts, Smart forms, BDCs, IDOCs, Workflows and BAPI's on an ERP environment
  • Provides system support of interfaces related to external systems interfaced with SAP ERP like EDI systems, 3rd party applications across sales and logistics
  • Provides daily production support by troubleshooting SAP related issues which are related to all application areas like SD, LE, CRM and Finance
  • Design develop and code solutions related to ALE/IDOCs and Workflows in an ERP environment.
  • Work with ABAP proxies (web services), Remote function calls and working with middleware systems like SAP PI
  • Create reports for SAP modules, including ALV reports.
  • Design forms and screens using tools such as SAPScript and Smartforms
  • Coordinate and conduct system testing provide process documentation.
  • Lead the design and delivery of all technical objects and architecture related to CapEx and OpEx projects and support the go live and support as needed
  • Prepare comprehensive and thorough technical program documentation.
  • Responsible for leading offshore/contract developers, managing their time and tasks on a per project basis.



  • 10+ years’ experience programming in ABAP including all the basic functions mentioned above
  • BS degree in a related field of study
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Additional programming experience (Java, VB/.Net).
  • Eager to learn, self-starter, self-manager
  • Able to multitask between support and projects requests
  • Strong business knowledge and functional knowledge in areas of Sales and Distribution, CRM and Finance
  • Experience leading offshore/remote developers
  • Excellent communication skills and should play an effective role of a team member
  • Experience developing for SAP finance related functions A/R, Credit & Collections



  • Knowledge of SAP IS-AFS or S/4 Fashion management or SAP FMS
  • Additional programming experience (Java, VB/.Net).
  • Knowledge on CRM web UI 7.0 development (Dynpro)
  • Experience in Netweaver be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of using Solution Manager for change management
