GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager, Business Planning will be responsible for contributing to profit and growth of the North America Wholesale division by supporting the business planning function. This person will measure and forecast performances for all channels of trade and/or brands and suggest actions to achieve financial targets.

This person will work with Supply Chain, Sales Operations, Finance and other cross functional groups to achieve collaboration and consensus, will report results and forecast to our Corporate subsidiary in Milan and will work with the Logistic teams to plan and execute sales plan.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the business planning process across all channel of trade
  • Primary commercial interface with Wholesale Team in Milan.
  • Consolidate forecast into weekly plans to track gaps vs commercial and financial targets
  • Works across all COT’s in NA along with commercial leadership team to develop accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts
  • Translate volume and financial plans into a logistic schedule for product distribution from the distribution centers in United States, Italy and China
  • Foster consensus and collaboration in the planning process through working with the Sales, Sales Operations, Supply Chain and Finance
  • Works with sales operations, warehouse and inventory planning to research and implement necessary supply chain requirements and streamlining opportunities.
  • Discuss weekly and monthly forecast by Channel of Trade and by Brand with Corporate teams of Business planning and Distribution
  • Conducts and provides analysis of key performance indicators (KPI) among main customers and channels of trade
  • May have people management responsibilities and be responsible for growth and development to a Team

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Consumer Product Goods, Wholesale Sales, Retail Sales, Merchandising or related experience.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Ability to extract conclusions from available data and “tell a story”
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver strong execution.
  • Able to work & problem solve in a highly complex/matrixed environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Familiarity with a legacy database system, such as SAP, AS400, Business Objects.
