GENERAL FUNCTION

This position is responsible for the process design, configuration, requirement gathering and guiding custom development for SAP FI-CO, as well as integration touch points to other processes, modules and systems. This position is also responsible for hands-on leadership of small cross-functional teams tasked with solving business issues. This position would interface regularly with Business Stakeholders, IT infrastructure & Development teams, and Boundary System teams to ensure that business requirements are met.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Part of SAP ERP team accountable for resolving SAP issues, change requests, enhancements raised
  • Execute SAP FI-CO projects from requirements gathering, solution design, specifications development, testing and rollout and training
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for key SAP FI-CO processes within SAP
  • Coordinate with Architecture and Infrastructure Teams on best practices, design and environment setup
  • Capable to quickly diagnose, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production issues
  • Quality testing and working with users to gain user acceptance testing
  • Deliver projects within a fixed time/effort model
  • Liaises with global SAP support team on overall FI-CO support and projects
  • Collaborate directly with business groups to resolve any finance related issues and develop recommendations to best address issues
  • Keeps up to date on industry trends and innovations, changes in accounting rules, and future SAP development for their respective areas
  • Support all key integration areas with Finance and controlling
  • Expected to support off hours and weekends during production change deployment, period close and during system outages

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of SAP finance functional experience required
  • 2+year experience leading SAP finance related efforts
  • Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, computer science, engineering or business streams
  • Expert level knowledge on SAP FICO including configuration of the system
  • High level understanding of ABAP programming objects
  • Ability to work under own initiative and under tight time pressures
  • Expert level knowledge of all integration points with other modules like SD-LE, MM, WM and SAP FICO
  • Proficient understanding of SAP finance solutions including:
  • GL, (including New GL Functionality)
  • Asset Accounting
  • Accounts Payables and Receivables including customer billing and payments
  • Financial Organizational Structures and Master Data
  • Controlling functions
  • Internal and External Financial Management Reporting
  • Financial supply chain module (FSCM)
  • Bank/ACH transfers and credit card integration
  • Inventory Accounting
  • Third party tax software services integrations with SAP like VERTEX or other tools
  • Profit center and cost center accounting
  • Profitability Analysis
  • Special Ledger and Financial reporting flows
  • Cash and treasury functions
  • Business process engineering expertise
  • 25% travel in addition to monthly on call rotation
  • International travel may be required

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP ECC 6.0 or higher experience
  • SAP associate level certification or above
  • SAP AFS/FMS or S4 fashion experience
  • Global SAP experience – Implementation and support in more than one of the following locations: USA, Canada, Asian and Oceania/South Pacific
  • ABAP Debugging experience
  • Experience with Hyperion financial reporting tools
