The Sport Specialist acts as the liaison between the Sport L& R sales team, customers and all internal departments (Logistics, Planning, Credit, IT, Marketing, Product, Discounts). The Sport Specialist team is the primary source of communication for sales team and customers within the Sport L&R channel.  This individual supports all daily sales team and customer requests and needs, to ensure in field efficiencies and that all internal support is provided to meet the needs of the business effectively.



  • Supports the Channel Sales Manager with development of new businesses and management of prospective new L&R Sport customers.
  • Builds strong working relationships with top customers and leverages brand portfolio with key customers.
  • Support Channel Sales Manager in the achievement of annual invoiced sales performances to drive sales for designated accounts.
  • Coordinate and perform tasks related to order management ensuring quick turnaround – including but not limited to, writing and submitting orders, monitoring order allocation and fill rates, updating assortment manager tool, etc.
  • Ensures best service level from receipt of orders for processing, allocation, and Portfolio management to trouble shooting needed after receipt of deliveries to customers.
  • Develop strong relationships externally with the assigned customer, with a focus on providing excellent service and diffuse with the Luxottica Best practice.
  • Attend and assist at customer meetings at Luxottica, Trade Shows and client headquarters, etc.
  • Provides prompt, efficient, detailed, customer-oriented service to L&R Sport customers.
  • Owns escalated customer contacts and leads the effort to satisfactorily resolve them.
  • Owns high-touch accounts at the request of Sales leadership.
  • Manages incoming and outgoing emails each day for sales team members for specific regions; 24-48 hour turn-around time
  • Supports all incoming phone calls from sales teams and customers
  • Supports incoming questions and issues relative to the order entry app, One Sales Suite
  • Joins weekly sales team conference calls and works to coordinate resolve of consistent and common issues across the sales team



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ years related work experience
  • Strong PC skills; proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Internet
    • Must be proficient in excel- intermediate to advanced level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task with limited supervision as well as works well in a team setting
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with all levels of internal leadership and team
  • Places a high priority on responsiveness



  • Advanced SAP Skills
  • Past experience with retail or buying
  • Microsoft Access experience
