The Tax Technology Senior Accountant works closely with the Tax Technology Manager to maintain current tax technology systems and drive the transformation of tax processes through leveraging automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement. The role works cross-functionally within the tax function to assess tax needs, prioritize tax technology initiatives, propose and develop solutions, and train end users on the new process to improve team productivity and effectiveness. The role partners across the Company and externally with peer groups and advisors to identify, evaluate and drive implementation of technology and innovative solutions within the Tax function. The Tax Technology Senior Accountant will work as part of a team responsible for supporting federal and state tax compliance, audits and tax provisions; with some assistance with tax modeling and planning initiatives.




  • Documenting, analyzing and making recommendations on improving performance of end to end tax processes (inputs, outputs, and systems integrations thereof)
  • Trains and support end users on current tax enabling technology
  • Query, extract, and summarize data from various systems to support tax positions and workpapers.
  • Standardize routine reporting to meet tax data requirements
  • Maintenance of ETL/Robotics processes – Maintains current ETL processes, Robotics rollover processes, and troubleshoot and coordinate resolution with RPA team as needed
  • Maintenance of Tax ERPs – Corptax Compliance, Onesource Tax Provision
  • Work with Tax Technology Manager on Tax sensitizing core financial systems (Oracle ERP, SAP, Hyperion, etc) as well as tax specific reporting requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between Tax, Accounting, Financial Consolidations and Information Technology departments to improve flow of Financial data
  • Managing quality and timeliness of deliverables as well coordination of resources assigned
  • Remain current relative to new technology developments and tax reporting requirements
  • Identify ways to further automate processes to improve accuracy and create efficiencies

Corporate taxes

  • Analyze financial data and reconcile information from database to financial statements
  • Provide analytical support for the preparation of the Company’s income tax provision and effective tax rate computations.
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing data related to tax savings opportunities
  • Assist in research required for proposed transactions for the U.S. group.


  • Assist Audit lead in data gathering and validation related to inquiries from financial audit teams and taxing authorities.



  • Bachelors in Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in public accounting and/or private industry working primarily in corporate tax
  • Demonstrated experience in tax process improvement initiatives
  • Core tax systems experience (Corptax, Onesource Tax Provision) and ancillary systems familiarity (ETL tools, ERP systems, Business Intelligence tools, Data Visualization, RPA)
  • Additional Software Skills: MS Suite, Hyperion
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Ability to analyze data to use technology in order to gain efficiencies
  • Self-Motivated, business savvy, integrity and team player
