GENERAL FUNCTION 

Provides functional expertise and decision support including, but not limited to, create detailed analysis of cash flow to prepare a reliable cash forecast together with analysis of Foreign Exchange activity to facilitate cash transfers and hedge gain/loss

 

 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibility for development of cash flow forecast and analyze results. Emphasis on ability to work with multiple functional areas and how their activity affects the ending cash balances.
  • Monitor daily balances in all Corporate and Retail store bank accounts
  • Facilitate all cash transfers made from the Home Office – both domestically and internationally.
  • Analyze and report cross currency intracompany balances weekly, and calculate cash transfers. Emphasis on understanding how currency revaluations affect the P&L.
  • Maintain interface between Treasury Management Software (Sungard) and SAP - ensure all electronic bank files are loaded properly, and all journal exports are free of errors; map new accounts and any requested journal changes
  • Effectively demonstrate technical aspects of the position - answer questions from Home Office associates within a reasonable time frame; effectively respond to management requests for information and analyses.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Management - Ensure proper separations of duties are implemented with initiation and approval of all cash transfers along with obtaining proper approvals.
  • Maintain effective and ongoing communication with key customers, which include Home Office departments, New York and Italian offices, and banking partners.
  • Maintain day to day relationship with banking partners and work on KYC, accounts opening and maintenance.
  • Assist in special projects as requested by management.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Treasury Knowledge – understanding of Treasury products and trends for corporations
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Systems – advanced excel skills, experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Hyperion Essbase
  • Challenges the process – Constructively challenges the process and takes the initiative to search for opportunities to grow, improve and innovate

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years Treasury/Cash Management experience
  • Proficiency with personal computers and spreadsheet applications
