GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Finance Manager manages and reports the consolidated financial results of Luxottica North America wholesale reporting entities (includes US and Canada) as well as coordinates all budgeting and forecasting procedures.
The Sr Manager has direct financial controllership responsibility for all Marketing, Advertising, and General and Administrative (G&A) expenses, both Labor and non-Labor including General Management, IT, HR, Customer Service and Finance. In addition, the Sr. Manager is responsible for all businesses capital expenditures.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees and prepares monthly P&L reporting for North America Wholesale including separate views of US and Canada (when necessary), providing feedback on key variances vs prior year, budget and FCST.
  • Manages the budget and quarterly reforecasting process.
  • Reports consolidated business results to internal executives and corporate teams in Italy.
  • Supports business leaders on Samples cost and Obsolescence cost.
  • Directly manages all G&A expenses, both labor and non-labor, and elevates issues with key stakeholders when necessary.
  • Coordinates with HR on headcount reporting to Corporate, ensuring alignment with overall financials.
  • Provides detailed analysis to support required variances from budgets and prior year (ie Compensation bridges, Obsolescence).
  • Partners closely with Accounting Shared Service Center in Mason, Ohio on required monthly/quarterly reserves.
  • Prepares required reporting and details for both quarterly and annual audit.
  • Develops continuous risk and opportunity view of business outside of routine planning practices.
  • Oversees and develops capital management process including approvals, projects spend tracking and related depreciation.
  • Performs on-going analysis of budget status and budgetary impact of supplemental needs and requests,
  • Prepares periodic and ad hoc analyses of budget versus actual data for revenue and expenses and prepares supporting analysis of variances found.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert on SAP and overall reporting systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • 7+ years progressive financial experience
  • Managerial experience
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in financial and cost analysis
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of financial statements
  • Highly proficient in SAP and Excel
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Solid tactical management skills, business acumen, and organizational savvy
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build the business through improved analysis, trending and reporting
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Works under limited supervision, deadlines and pressure

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase (or other comparable corporate reporting systems)
