GENERAL FUNCTION

Supervises all tasks related to Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) within Luxottica Wholesale NA including coordinating contractor and consultant development activities. Maintains the compliance of all inbound/outbound documents conducts audit and manages and executes EDI partner requirements. Collaborates extensively with information technology (IT) staff and the business to ensure the availability of EDI services. Supervises daily activities including acting as the escalation contact for EDI support inquiries, monitoring document transmissions, and identifying opportunities to improve relevant processes. Performs audits to ensure quality standards are being met on a regular basis, and conducts training for the business on how best to leverage EDI in our customer landscape.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates with the business to schedule and prioritize EDI development activities.
  • Coordinates and supervises EDI development schedule and tasks.
  • Attends customer meetings and coordinate with customer EDI teams on all EDI integration projects.
  • Partners with STARS team to support business integration projects.
  • Administrator for Sterling Integrator for Windows.
  • Provides first/second level 24x7 support for EDI processes.
  • Performs EDI process review and system maintenance.
  • Develops and documents system processes.
  • Performs complex mapping development including X12, EDIFACT, XML, Application to Application.
  • Performs complex BPML (Business Process Modeling Language) analysis and development.
  • Develops communications configurations/protocols including FTP, FTPS, SSL, AS2, AS3.
  • Works within SAP to research EDI issues, business processes, and maintain configurations.
  • Works closely with SAP ERP team to resolve daily issues, design and create new business processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years’ experience in a technical environment
  • 7+ years’ experience in a technical EDI environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in Sterling Integrator in a Windows environment
  • Previous mapping experience in a complex business environment
  • Ability to develop Business Processes in GIS Sterling Integrator using BPML tools
  • Previous experience with X12, EDIFACT transactions including but not limited to 810, 850, 855, 852, 856, ORDERS, INVOIC, IFTMIN, IFTMCS, DESADV, RECADV
  • Strong communication, follow-up & organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Bus Admin/MIS, or related field
  • Previous programming background
  • Windows & UNIX scripting
  • SAP expertise
