The Sales Manager analyzes and consults with Fortune 1000 companies on their benefit programs with the target on vision benefits. Sells vision benefits plans to employers and engages employers, brokers, and consultants in assigned territory.


  • Develops relationships w/brokers via in-market initiatives to grow sales.
  • Executes quote requests, follows up and facilitates sales process to exceed broker expectations.
  • Leverages internal departments to facilitate sales process.
  • Educates broker constituents through in person and telephonic efforts.
  • Effectively presents EyeMed value proposition.
  • Manages sales process internally and externally.
  • Manages process metrics including population of contact management tool to drive business intelligence.
  • Develops compelling proposals to grow segment sales.
  • Manages agency books of business.
  • Collaborates with internal sales team to develop sales strategy and deliver quote.
  • Executes post-quote follow-up activity to refine and achieve broker acceptance.
  • Collaborates with mid-market sales team to develop strong broker partnerships.


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Possess an Ohio Accident and Health Insurance License or ability to obtain license within 60 (sixty) days of hire
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Benefits/Insurance sales experience
  • Business to Business sales experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Territory management skills
  • Knowledge of Brokerage industry
  • Experience using
  • Goal driven high performer with demonstrated success
  • Sense of urgency responding to customers
