GENERAL FUNCTION

The Regional Operations Manager supports Retail, OD and Manufacturing Leadership to regional store teams for Luxottica Retail Brands. Centers on achieving Global Rx Operations Quality Standards of Excellence and organizations goals and continuously delivers an exceptional customer experience.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides Regional General Managers (RGMs) and Store General Managers (GMs) with strategic direction to optimize customer experience, focuses on delivery of quality products when promised and right the first time. Analyzes key financial and customer experience data; communicates trends, sets aggressive goals. Diagnoses and evaluates store management team’s ability to provide an ideal customer experience.
  • Cultivates an active network of relationships and rally support for RxO Facilities and LC Labs that promotes collaboration.
  • Develops quality laboratory leadership. Implement and execute laboratory training programs, continuing optical education, equipment maintenance, quality manufacturing production, and performance management. Provides input to Cincinnati Service Center (CSC) and Rx Operations Central Manufacturing regarding product quality, service turnaround, training needs and new training system development.
  • Ensures store team consistently delivers quality products that meets and/or exceeds 1 hour or special order promise commitments; identify and communicate action plans for improvement. Provide appropriate direction, support and training needed to maximize product quality and speed of service.
  • Assures safety compliance for facility/store environment. Provides input to safety department regarding safety/regulatory issues. Ensures that associates are manufacturing products and disposing waste in a manner that is safe and consistent with federal, state, local laws.
  • Evaluates the maintenance and proper operation of lab equipment and new technology.
  • Contributes to and support the implementation of new technologies, systems, procedures, and equipment.
  • Leads initiatives to improve safety, reduce cycle times, store productivity, process reliability and customer satisfaction with respect to on-time delivery and quality.
  • Sets regional direction and goals for cost effective expense management.
  • Oversees projects from the planning stage through implementation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree with major in manufacturing or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years multi-unit/manufacturing management experience
  • Ability to travel approximately 50 -75%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Optical certification - ABO, Optical State License or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrate business knowledge and manufacturing leadership skills
  • Application of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • LensCrafters eyewear manufacturing processing and procedures knowledge
  • Ability to interpret key internals/financial measurements and provide recommendations
  • Thorough Federal/State/Provincial safety regulatory knowledge
  • Strong ability to develop and coach talent
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer and service quality oriented
  • Functional in computer skills
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Organizational skills and time management
