To assure injection molding machines run to quality standards and meet all production goals. Assure all safety and housekeeping procedures are followed. Communicate potential hazards as well as reporting all quality and scrap issues to supervisor/manager in a timely manner.



  • Perform basic process troubleshooting, part inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality
  • Verify paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at startup of jobs and in process inspections
  • Work with the other process techs, material handlers and quality in maintaining stable processes to produce quality parts.
  • Pull and set injection molds, program injection molding machines and setting up robots and other automated equipment.
  • Monitor the execution of the production schedule as well as performing mold and/or material changes and start-ups as dictated by the schedule
  • Monitor and prepare equipment i.e. thermolators, dryers, robots and other fixtures
  • Setup, start, monitor and troubleshoot automated equipment
  • Maintain a clean workplace environment, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Provide excellent internal customer service to the machine operators and leads through quick response time, effective communication, and resolution of issues
  • Basic troubleshooting abilities to maintain, repair/replace and test automation systems, components and networks



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 6 Months Prior Experience
  • Prior experience in troubleshooting and repairing automated systems including the mechanical devices, hydraulic and the human-machine interfaces that are present on the mentioned systems preferred
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English language to ensure adherence to documented procedures and current specifications is essential.



  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the plastic injection molding industry as a Process Technician or within the automation industry at large.
  • Experience utilizing a computer terminal or personal computer
  • Experience in an injection molding environment
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost effectiveness, and other techniques to ensure efficient production of quality products.
  • Knowledge of Arburg touch screen injection molding machines
  • Experience with Sepro, YUMI, ABB and/or other automated equipment
