The Associate Engineer- Quality SQM supports the business operational needs of the company through engineering activities to ensure continuous improvement & customer satisfaction.


  • Works safety and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Work independently to established quality criteria, plan for implementation, and execute quality plans for all products. Includes inspection planning (PPIP), sample approvals (FAS & LS) and training on the requirements.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with others.
  • Effectively problem solve production issues as they arrive, related to materials, components, or packaging product.
  • Lead Corrective Action assignment to suppliers and drive completion by using appropriate 8D and/or DMAIC Six Sigma methodology to address quality issues.
  • Implement required quality metrics and use that data to address supplier improvement and concerns.
  • Ability to work independently and successfully navigate throughout the supply base to address issues and concerns, adjusting to the different work environments at suppliers’ facilities.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.


  • BS degree in an engineering or technical field
  • 0 to 1 year of experience in your field (quality engineering, process control, manufacturing engineering)
  • Good problem solver with knowledge and ability to apply statistical tools and methods to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of standard software tools and analysis processes
  • Ability to investigate root cause analysis of functional issues
  • General understanding of Advance Quality Planning, e.g. AIAG PPAP’s.
  • Can work independently to make important decisions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Statistical background/exposure
