GENERAL FUNCTION

Oakley’s Recruiter acts as a partner and advisor to our hiring managers and HR team, driving consistent communication, providing market analysis, and recommending and executing creative sourcing techniques, candidate assessment, and other talent related activities. The Recruiter manages a full-cycle recruitment process and strategies for all indirect labor and professional positions within Oakley’s Foothill Ranch facility, partnering closely with internal clients and the external candidate population.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds and maintains proactive partnerships with internal and external client groups in order to anticipate business and staffing needs
  • Develops and executes recruitment strategies to proactively search for a diverse pool of candidates using various recruiting methods including cold-calling, networking/relationship building, social networking sites, and searches
  • Participates in weekly strategy meetings with hiring managers, providing a consultative approach on talent
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on hiring techniques and legal issues regarding hiring practices
  • Develops and maintains a network and pipeline of talent
  • Operates as a liaison among candidates, Hiring Managers and HR business partners providing guidance through interview, offer, and hiring processes
  • Gathers competitive intelligence, industry trends, and labor market conditions to create search strategies
  • Implements and enforces consistency with recruiting policies and procedures
  • Manages and tracks assigned postings, prioritizes and closes searches against established benchmarks and metrics
  • Generates reports and data, new proposals and general talent acquisition metrics
  • In partnership with Luxottica Central Recruitment (TA team), oversees direct placement recruitment agencies / vendors and drives accountability to fulfill staffing needs
  • Works on special projects based on volume hiring or internal team creation/movements
  • Partners with local HR and TA teams to manage Oakely’s internal internship and co-op programs
  • Partners with the HR team for engagement activities at Foothill Ranch to support culture initiatives

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ relevant recruitment experience (volume and technical)
  • Knowledge and experience in recruitment concepts, practice and procedures
  • Experience with ATS tools, MS Suite (Word, Excel Powerpoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and oral/written communication skills
  • Strong ability to follow process, comply with regulations
  • High energy and relationship building skills with ability to take initiative, prioritize, influence, negotiate and partner cross functionally
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in which to report, interpret, and communicate data/recommendations
  • Ability to source candidates through a variety of networks and tools
  • Self-confident, self-motivated, with sense of personal accountability
  • Results driven with the ability to influence others
  • Ability to deliver a consistent, high-level customer service experience
  • Ability to manage confidential information effectively, while maintaining adherence to company policies and procedures

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recruiting experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing or related
  • Recruitment Agency & In-house recruitment experience
