The Regional Sales Director leads and directs a team of District Sales Managers and Sales Consultants within a defined geography. Participates in, provides feedback on and develops recommendations that support the growth of the team, customers and market and ensures the advancement of Luxottica’s core business objectives in the Independent COT.


  • Develops weekly, monthly and annual forecasts of overall business, new product launches, etc.
  • Develops and identifies key market opportunities to further business objectives and perception of Luxottica within the region and in key markets.
  • Forges strong relationships with top regional customers and supports strategic relationships with these accounts, while helping to develop plans to move the business forward.
  • Identifies and develops regional plans to support key brand objectives such as image, productivity, RX growth. etc.
  • Fosters strong communication of plans and initiatives within the region (helping to organize meetings, conference calls, field visits. etc.) to build a strong sense of unity and teamwork.
  • Acts as primary regional liaison with key influencers from Buying Groups and Doctor Alliances.
  • Helps mentor and coach DSMs within the region on critical business goals and key elements of their professional development.
  • Provides, as needed, coverage and support of uncovered districts.
  • Participates in all management meetings, conventions and on critical task forces to further key group objectives.


  • BA/BS degree
  • 10+ years’ experience within a direct selling environment
  • 3+ years’ experience and success in managing a sales team


  • Experience working within wholesale channel of trade with many small independent customers
  • Optical industry experience
