GENERAL FUNCTION 

The Retail Manager is responsible for leading and directing the Market Specialist team to support account management objectives, optimal customer relationships and maximum sell-thru of the Luxottica portfolio in Optical and Premium Sun assigned territories.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Direct MS field team visits and activities based on sales opportunities and account and marketing priorities to drive sell-through of the Luxottica portfolio
  • Set quarterly/annual sales targets and MBOs for direct reports and hold team accountable to achievement of targets
  • Collaborate with partner Account Managers to plan and ensure field execution of relative account initiatives and priorities
  • Ensure ongoing training, coaching and development of Market Specialist team to meet or exceed job expectations and provide career growth opportunities
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to ensure MS team alignment on all NA Wholesale initiatives and COT specific initiatives
  • Manage T&E budgets to plan
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by tracking performance, analyzing reports to identify opportunities and developing action plans to deliver sales and sell thru growth
  • Direct field team to ensure merchandising and visual standards are consistently maintained in accordance with brand/license agreements and category standards
  • Motivate sales performance by developing in-store contests, promotions and special events to promote and positively influence sell-thru
  • Attend and participate in required market weeks and other company meetings
  • Maintain professional standards of appropriate dress and image, business communication skills and knowledge of market trends in the industry
  • Provide regular field intelligence to internal partners (AM, TM, Brand, etc.) to identify opportunities to improve and grow the business
  • Plan and ensure quality execution of brand standards, retail animation projects and other trade marketing initiatives
  • Ensure effective ISS partnerships with accounts to ensure acknowledgement of In-store support, Luxottica brand presence, loyalty and sell through support
  • Stay current with all Luxottica products, services, promotions, advertising and competitive offers to facilitate sales efforts; maintain awareness of competitors’ products, promotions and services

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration; concentration in merchandising, marketing or sales preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in retail sales and/or visual merchandising; 1 - 2 years supervisory experience and multi-unit experience
  • Passionate, independent and self-motivated
  • Strategic, analytical and creative thinker
  • Developed communication skills- written and verbal
  • Strong ability to present in front of large groups, coach and motivate teams
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with flexibility
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated sales, merchandising and training techniques and strategies
  • Ability to quickly generate and initiate creative solutions to problems as they arise
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively according to the needs of the business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital photography
