GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr Manager – Business Analytics will play a critical role within the Business Analytics team to develop and deliver incisive, value generating insight & analysis for the organization. The Sr Manager will work with key functional areas to understand the business needs, conduct comprehensive data analysis, derive actionable insights, and create analytical solutions. The Sr Manager will also create predictive models and conduct advance data mining. The Sr Manager will use advanced analytical techniques, such as Web Analytics, predictive modeling, supervised/unsupervised clustering, multivariate test design and analysis, etc., to manipulate large data in various formats. The Sr Manager will translate business questions into analytical problems to solve, extrapolate actionable insights from data analysis, and communicate critical findings to business partners.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Business Analytics support and analytical solution development across all functional areas
  • Oversee provider network analysis, GEO Coding and Disruptive Analysis automation and execution
  • Collaborate with key functional areas to understand, define, develop, and execute insight and analytical solutions to drive tangible business results
  • Collaborate and partner with others from across the organization to use data driven insights and solutions to execute business strategies.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to create innovative approaches/predictive models to expanding BI team’s toolkit of generating more actionable insights that drive business results.
  • Lead design and execution of multivariate tests/analysis to understand and evaluate business strategies and initiatives.
  • Translate business questions into analytical problems to solve, extrapolate actionable insights from data analysis, and communicate critical findings to business partners efficiently.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve BI capabilities.
  • Provide input and support with defining and implementing enterprise data definitions and data governance.
  • Support creation of data models and data mapping

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in analyzing data to derive actionable insights and applying data science to solve business problems.
  • Excellent communication, analytics, problem-solving, planning, project management, teamwork and organization skills.
  • Proficient in SAS/R/SQL.
  • Proficient in manipulating large and complex data sets.
  • Able to independently design analysis and gain actionable insights from data.
  • Strong capability of multi-tasking and managing tight project timelines.
  • Experience of implementing /automating analytical solutions in production environment.
  • Strong balance of business, data science techniques, and technology acumen.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD or Master’s in quantitative fields, such as, Applied Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Physics, Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in creating predictive models for deriving actionable insights and data driven strategies.
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing data driven solutions in various production environments.
  • Knowledge and experience of designing and executing experiment design for strategic testing.
  • QlikView or similar visualization software experience
