GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr Analyst- Business Data (Reporting) is responsible for building, implementing and leading business solutions pertaining to the organizational reporting needs.  This role will serve as the liaison between the business functions and IT, requiring expert level understanding of the business processes, data and system.  This role will define and implement reporting and analytic capabilities to meet the internal and external customer needs.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide business/data analysis and reporting expertise to requested client reporting
  • Create effective business requirements documents as well as test plans to support build and design of operational reporting
  • Define and implement service level agreements and key performance indicators. Ensure appropriate tracking, monitoring and reporting capabilities are in place.
  • Define and implement enterprise data definitions, data governance and data stewardship
  • Work with the business stakeholders to understand, define and support data requirements
  • Support effort to define and implement enterprise data definitions, data governance and data stewardship
  • Develop front-end reports, interfaces and queries to provide data access to business users
  • Develop and perform appropriate level of testing against any new universe design to ensure no negative impact on downstream reporting and that development was performed in accordance with requirements given
  • Partner with the business in the development and delivery of organization change management materials including communications and training
  • Adhere to established project management and SDLC methodologies and standards
  • Support efforts to elicit, analyze, document and validate system requirements
  • Partner with business and IT resources to develop policies, processes and procedures

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a reporting function
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, planning, prioritization, project management, teamwork and organization skills
  • Strong balance of business and technology acumen
  • Proficient in dimensional modeling techniques
  • Proficient in ETL processes and architecture
  • Strong Excel knowledge & experience
  • Strong understanding of project management and requirements definition and management

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • SAP BI/Business Objects experience
  • SQL knowledge
