The Strategic Account Executive analyzes and consults with Fortune 1000 companies on their benefit programs with the target on vision benefits. Engages health plan leaders and builds relationships through different channels within our health plan partners (Ancillary, Medicare/Medicaid, embedded medical).


  • Develops/Maintains relationships within strategic partners at multiple levels and across business lines.
  • Builds strategic business plans focused on retention, growing business and achieving financial targets. Negotiates contract terms to solidify desired business goals.
  • Successfully represents client needs within internal organization to achieve partner goals and implement client requests.
  • Supports strategic partner sales initiatives through training, providing competitive intelligence and serving as the industry expert/consultant.
  • Serves as a liaison/expediter for all issues requiring internal support – delivers with a strong sense of urgency and drives to protect client/EyeMed interests.
  • Collaborates with EyeMed direct salesforce to facilitate new business growth.
  • Provides ongoing reporting around operational and financial performance.


  • Bachelor’s degree – Marketing, communications or like experience in related business field
  • Possess an Ohio Accident and Health Insurance License or ability to obtain license within 60 (sixty) days of hire
  • 8+ years progressive client service or sales experience in B2B industry
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in building and negotiating contract terms
  • Proven track record building sales and financial targets
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
  • Demonstrated success in project management or liaison role
  • Travel up to 25%


  • Master’s Degree – business related field
  • 5+ years insurance industry sales and/or account management (ancillary products)
  • Insurance background - Preferably Health, Dental or Vision
  • Knowledge of brokerage industry experience
  • Licensed life/Health Insurance
