We are seeking Finance leaders with outstanding FP&A experience from the Insurance industry to bring your industry expertise to our leading brand.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Director- Finance serves as a key member of the financial leadership team and a key financial interface between senior operational management and corporate management team. The Sr Director- Finance is responsible for delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making. The Sr Director- Finance is also responsible for overseeing a financial planning organization that has a comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and sophisticated financial models enabling the team to deliver insightful, value-added analysis across the organization.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs and coordinates annual financial planning and budget management functions
  • Recommends benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
  • Monitors and analyzes monthly operating results against budget
  • Manages the preparation of all financial reports, financial outlooks, and financial forecasts
  • Assists in establishing short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Oversees the financial planning and analysis organization and partners with management to provide value-added business insight
  • Prepares the monthly reporting package that includes full financial statements, comprehensive KPI reporting, operational dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, actual vs. budget variances and comprehensive executive level explanations of differences
  • Drives an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives
  • Develops and monitors the company’s annual budget and monthly forecasts/outlooks, including establishing budget tools, setting timelines and acting as project manager for the company, ensuring all budgets are accurate, comprehensive and completed on time
  • Partners with capital project leads for an efficient and effective investment process of evaluating, tracking and monitoring all capital activity
  • Provides financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for new product development and other ad-hoc financial projects
  • Leads credit organization assessments to include structure, business processes, leadership and competencies, policy development and compliance
  • Conducts periodic assessments of accounts receivable portfolios, focusing on collection efficiency and appropriate risk management approaches
  • Leads continuous improvement, including processes, systems, and investigation of third party support targeted to improve collection efficiencies and risk management approaches
  • Monitor accounts receivable key metrics, analysis and reporting
  • Provides approval of payment terms
  • Leads customer billing to ensure timely and accurate invoice process and reporting

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience
  • 12+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting
  • 7+ years of experience managing others
  • Demonstrated leadership of large teams
  • Demonstrated success driving results and employee satisfaction
  • Strong technical, financial skills
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make recommendations that drive business results

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • CPA
  • Experience in Finance or Accounting within the insurance industry
  • Experience in Finance or Accounting within the healthcare industry
